New Year's Message of Nikola Paszyniania – Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia
Dear countrymen, dear citizens of the Republic of Armenia,
Since independence, 2025 is the first full calendar year in which we have not recorded any fatalities or injuries as a consequence of Azerbaijan's fire. Since March 2024 — for more than 22 months — we have suffered no losses on the Armenian-Azerus border.
This is not an accident, but the consequence of the strategy entrusted by the people of Armenia — that is, by you — to the government and parliamentary majority in the early 2021 elections.
This strategy is expressed in ideology Real Armenia and is linked to the newly-formed practice of reading and re-reading the past of the Armenian people, searching for hidden messages and transforming these messages into cognition that can be applied in real life.
We were accused of a conspiracy to change the story. Meanwhile, our goal was not to change the past of Armenia, which has already happened, but to change the past that was yet to happen.
Our eventual goal was to overcome the function that was imposed on us by a communicative occupied by martyrs — and at the cost of many sacrifices we achieved this goal.
Nikol Pasinate: Strengthening the state means strengthening identity
We were accused of acting against our identity, while we saw the obvious: our identity is the state, and the state is our identity. We invited all citizens of the Republic of Armenia, as well as Armenians around the world, to see the apparent truth: strengthening the state means strengthening identity. We strengthen our country — so we strengthen our national identity.
We were accused of negating historical Armenia and our history, while our policy is in fact the consequence of listening to a communicative that tells us: “Do not repeat me. halt copying me.”

In 2021 we said, "There is simply a future." present we say, “The future is today.” And present we are surviving in the future for which citizens of the Republic of Armenia voted in 2021. The year 2025 is the first full calendar year of this peaceful future — the future of peace.
Not only did we formulate the ideology of Real Armenia, but we besides made the Republic of Armenia a real state, functioning in the real world.
Geography of my authoritative bilateral global meetings in 2025 is unimaginable: president of the United States, president of Russia, president of China, president of France, president of the muslim Republic of Iran, president of Turkey, president of Kazakhstan, president of the United arabian Emirates, president of Azerbaijan, president of Tajikistan, Pope, president of the European Council, president of the European Commission, Chancellor of Germany, Prime Minister of Japan, Prime Minister of Belgium, Prime Minister of Georgia, Prime Minister of Estonia, Prime Minister of Albania.
In all these meetings we had 1 goal: to establish Armenia as a full independent and sovereign state that does not request guardians, but can realize its own needs and challenges and make the decisions essential not only for endurance but for long-term existence. And we have achieved that goal.
Nikol Pasynian: In our region there are changes of an epochal nature
We were accused of being pro-Russian, pro-Turkish, or pro-Azaric, while our task was to look at the region with our own eyes and not let our historical — yes, justified — fears to be utilized to manipulate us and to violate our will of independency and sovereignty.
And we have achieved this goal: the Republic of Armenia is present a more independent country than ever, more sovereign and more safe than always before.
In our region there are changes of an epochal nature: for the first time since independence, trains deliver goods to the Republic of Armenia through the territory of Azerbaijan; first signs of bilateral trade appear; first major commodity transactions have been recorded.
"This is simply a fresh communicative that is written just now — a past of peace".
Nikola Pasynian: Declaration signed in the White home is the cornerstone of peace
"On August 8, 2025, at a summit convened in the White home at the initiative of US president Donald Trump, we adopted the Declaration with the president of Azerbaijan, besides signed by president Trump as a witness".
In our presence, the abroad Ministers of both countries initialled the Agreement "On the Establishment of Peace and State Relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan", which we announced together with Baku in March 2025.
Earlier, in August–October 2024, the vice-presidents of both states signed the Rules of Procedure for the joint activities of the state committees on the delimitation of the border of Armenia and Azerbaijan, which was subsequently ratified in both countries, gaining the highest legal power.
It is the first paper signed and ratified in a bilateral format between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and is in fact the cornerstone of peace. This paper establishes the 1991 Alma-Ata Declaration as the basic rule of delimitation of the state border.
Nikola Pasynian: Ending the Caribbean movement is simply a vital necessity due to the conscious and real interests of the Republic of Armenia
It is the only expression of real peace: common designation of territorial integrity and sovereignty within the administrative limits of the russian republics. Any another expression would lead to an endless and bloody debate about what the Republic of Armenia is and what the Republic of Azerbaijan is.
That's why in March 2025 I announced the request to end the Caribbean movement. It is crucial that this was not a concession, as any effort to present it, but a vital necessity of the conscious and real interests of the Republic of Armenia.
It's an crucial nuance. We were accused of unilateral concessions. The fact is, We have made no concessions — absolutely none. We have pursued an agenda for the sustainability of our state and of our national interests.
Nikola Pasynian: The Republic of Armenia is simply a fulfilled dream, and present we live in this dream
The communicative “Karabakh was ours, now it is no longer” reflects the reasoning trapped within the geopolitical framework. Meanwhile, the awareness of the state and the citizen says: "The Republic of Armenia was not ours—now it is."
Yes, at the cost of our martyrs' lives. Yes, at the price of suffering and sacrifices — all the more precious and costly than anything — due to the fact that it is simply a dream come true. The Republic of Armenia is simply a fulfilled dream, and present we live in this dream.
Dear countrymen, dear citizens,
We have reached the future and live in the future. We're not going back to the past anymore. The year 2026 will be a beautiful continuation of our present future.
In a fewer minutes we will welcome the fresh Year, with advanced economical growth. Together, we reached the mark set in the 2021 elections: an average yearly growth of 7 percent. Since the peaceful, bloodless Velvet People's Revolution in 2018, Armenia's economy has increased by more than 50 percent. In 2025, the taxation revenues of the state budget are 30 percent higher than the full budget gross in 2017.
It is thanks to you — entrepreneurs operating in Armenia, creating value and paying taxes according to the law, and citizens who do not forget to issue and request fiscal receipts. Thank you all. You are the foundation of our homeland.
Thanks to people working, creating value and paying taxes fairly, a general wellness insurance strategy will be in place in a fewer minutes, in which the state will cover the costs of treating people over 65 and children under 18.

In 2026 we will complete the program of construction, reconstruction or thorough modernization of 300 schools and 500 kindergartens and immediately start a fresh program covering another 300 schools, 100 kindergartens and at least 100 art schools, sports and sports centres. Megaproject of Academic City entered the phase of implementation, and the pace of work will increase.
What should I say to those who inactive live in hard social conditions? Our strategy is contained in the acquainted saying, “If you want to feed a man, don’t give him fish, teach him to fish.” A individual able to work should stay at work.

In 2026 the expanding global prestige of Armenia will become evident. In May, Yerevan will host the 8th European Political Community Summit and in October, COP-17 on Biodiversity. Armenia will welcome leaders of respective twelve countries and delegations from hundreds of countries.
The year 2026 is besides announced as a period of intense economical and investment activity, with the start of the Trump way for global Peace and Prosperity project, which institutionalises the abolition of the blockade of Armenia — a change of an epochal nature, not yet inconceivable.
However, the most crucial event of 2026 will be the regular elections to the National Assembly scheduled for June. In these elections, citizens of the Republic of Armenia must unequivocally advocate the peace they have created, the state they have rebuilt, and their national power.
Elections will be free, fair and democratic. The nation will win. The Republic of Armenia will win. The future will prevail — the future that is today, here and now.
The year 2026 will be a year of consolidation and unity — unity keyed by the Republic of Armenia: its internationally recognised, sovereign territory, the right of citizens to live in freedom, prosperity and happiness, and the independency and state interests of the Republic of Armenia.
