Fearing the result of the presidential election, the government carefully masks the real state of public finances and the state.

The election run is traditionally a period where miracles occur. Individual candidates make fantastic-sounding promises, for respective months they become something they are not, and the government builds for the public the PR “Potiomkin villages” that will be dismantled just after the election stations are closed.
Lock system
This phenomenon has been repeated regularly for years in all democratic state, but in Poland AD 2025 efforts by the government to powder the state are gaining peculiar importance in connection with planned major political changes. These plans concern first and foremost a kind of “closure” of the political strategy in Poland, i.e. taking over the most crucial office in the country in order to completely subordinate the state institution to its own organization goals. Under the “smiled coalition” governments, a very dangerous effort is being made to imprudent the full justice system, among others, and in the government media there is simply a serious debate on the anticipation of annulment of elections in the event of the triumph of the opposition candidate.
The second most crucial nonsubjective pursued by the current government is to accelerate the process of building a European national state. A constitutional majority in Parliament would be needed to renegotiate the European treaties, but Eurocrats intend to accomplish their goal by means of facts. For this purpose, Russia's expected large attack has been taking place for respective weeks, coordinated throughout the continent. Eurocrats deliberately torpedo U.S. peace talks with Russia, as the ongoing war in Ukraine provides them with the perfect pretext to reduce dependence on US safety guarantees, increase arms spending, issue large amounts of Community debt and thus pour out the extra-traditional foundation under the State of Europe.
It is not surprising, therefore, that the European Commission, by approving last November the plan put forward by the Government of Tusk to recover from the excessive deficit, gave it crucial support in the electoral campaign. The current government guarantees Ursula von der Leyen complete submission to the issue of giving up further attributes of sovereignty, which shows, for example, his position on the alleged EU defence policy.
Creative Accounting
If we take the financial rules in force seriously, Poland should tighten the belt already. After the pandemic festival of unnecessary spending and the 2 most crucial parties of the race for social promises, the Polish state should long ago be on a longer spending of rehab, but unfortunately the budget for 2025 recorded a deficit of 5.5% of GDP.
One good example of the pre-election powdering of the economy was the late announced change in the way inflation is calculated. By modifying the complex weighing strategy in the calculation of price indices of goods and services, the current authority managed to do nothing to contact the magic wand reduce the inflation rate in January by 0.4 pp. Theoretically, specified updates are carried out even all year, but this year has brought with it the most favorable correction for power in years. If the change in the method of calculating inflation actually allowed a better capture of marketplace phenomena, it could even be commended, but the data showing, among others, a decrease in individual consumption prove that the increase in prices is increasingly affecting Poles.
The most crucial figure active in the construction of PR villages of Pothimkinów became late the president of InPostu Rafał Brzoska. His treatment for deregulation has been advertised for weeks as a “big deregulation package” to bring relief in peculiar to tiny and medium-sized entrepreneurs. So far, the most concrete proposals for changes concern mainly things with a tiny species burden (e.g. introduction of the presumption of innocence of the taxpayer, silent settlement of the substance in taxation proceedings or abolition of the work of periodic examinations for people with permanent disabilities). For large and truly crucial things, specified as destroying Polish entrepreneurs Green Deal, the president of InPostu does not take on. His political dance is sold well in the media, but it stops as shortly as the grey, post-election reality comes along.
The pre-election masking of problems besides concerns wellness services to a large extent, which under the management of Isabella Leszczyna has been in the biggest crisis in years. Queues in institutions fulfilling contracts with the National wellness Fund have grown to specified size that they could successfully interest the major releases of leading media. The camp-friendly media, however, carefully overlook the subject without revealing the actual scale of the problem to society. However, even “Gazeta Wyborcza” reported late that the Ministry of Finance inactive did not approve the financial plan for the NFZ for the current year. The money for the wellness strategy is being poured out from the budget on an ongoing basis, but there are many indications that, just after the election, the public wellness strategy is in a state of collapse.
The latest figures on the implementation of the state budget for the first 2 months of the year are besides of large concern. alternatively of the planned PLN 106 billion, the Polish State earned PLN 76 billion while noting a deficit of PLN 36 billion. Many more can happen for months to come, but given the multi-annual figures showing the implementation of gross and expenditure, serious concerns can be raised as to whether the government can control the situation. Especially since he has done absolutely nothing to reduce the spending side or to bring about an economical recovery.
The Destroyer Pact
Unfortunately, pre-election powdering besides concerns various kinds of terrible commitments for Poland, which the state has undertaken under Donald Tusk. The government has full accepted the provisions of the Migration Pact, which in practice has already begun to be implemented on a large scale despite authoritative assurances that it will never be adopted. Its importance for the future of Poland is absolutely fundamental and far beyond average cultural issues. 1 of the main assets of our country has so far been cultural homogeneity, which translates into a much higher level of safety than in Western countries. Poland has not survived a large wave of immigration from culturally abroad countries so far and has thus escaped a large wave of force and unrest.
It is absolutely scandalous that the implementation of the migration pact will entail horrendous costs, as at least in all of Poland there is to be
49 regional centres for illegal immigrants, where they are expected to be highly comfortable. In a situation where the Polish budget virtually shudders from the excess of commitments, specified expenses are not only unnecessary, but simply destructive to the state's condition, which under the "smiled coalition" has a curiously self-destructive tendencies.
However, this is not the end. As experience teaches, a peculiar boost in making empty promises and powdering the state's condition usually takes place at the end of the campaign. So it should only be hoped that erstwhile after the second circular of presidential elections carefully prepared the makeup is yet removed from Poland, its inhabitants will not scream out of terror.
