A minor's license? So the Polish government wants to fight communication exclusion

The government adopted a draft amendment to the traffic law. The most crucial change concerns the simplification of the age of obtaining a driving licence to 17 years. According to experts, the solution will not solve the problem of communication exclusion, which concerns about 10 million Poles.
Poles surviving in tiny towns have been struggling with deficiency of access to public transport for years. The Prime Minister's Office announced that a bill was adopted reducing the age of drivers to 17 years. The change would enter into force at the turn of 2025 and 2026.

Any serious misconduct may consequence in an extension of the probationary period by up to another 2 years.


New responsibilities and penalties for all drivers
The bill does not only concern teenagers. It besides makes changes for all participants.
