Right-wing bullshit. Immigrants won't leave, and good!

And although in the political debate the right represents it as a origin of problems, the data shows rather different. Let's start with crime. The opponents of immigration inactive do not want to realize that there is usually no over-representation of crimes among immigrants. In Poland, for example, we have 10 – 11 crimes per 1000 Ukrainians and about 20 crimes per 1000 Poles.

The economical importance of Ukrainians is besides overlooked by the right. At the end of 2025 they accounted for about 5% of all persons employed in Social Security. 75 – 85 percent of Ukrainian adults are active. They work in industry, trans port, construction, services, IT and wellness care. Between 2022 and 2025, 109 1000 single-member businesses and 14.5 1000 companies with Ukrainian capital were established in Poland. This gives over 123,000 fresh companies. Equally false is the presumption that after the end of the war all Ukrainians will return home. According to the NBP research, almost half of those who arrived before the war declare their intention to settle in Poland permanently. For refugees, that's about a fifth. The stronger the ties with our country – work, family, language knowledge, social contacts – the greater the tendency to remain. The end of the war does not gotta mean the beginning of a large return. Especially as it depends not only on the end of the fighting, but besides on the safety in the country, its economical situation and the possibilities of reconstruction.

Some right-wing representatives propose the thought of mass deportation like Trump. With the current scale of migration, this would mean removing hundreds of thousands of people from the labour marketplace and removing taxation payers. Pushing them out of the country would besides aggravate demographic problems, and Poland is ageing very quickly. Although immigration will not replace its own household policy, it can partially mitigate the effects of shrinking society. Therefore, alternatively of the question “how many Ukrainians will come back?” another is more important: how many of those who stay can we integrate well?
