Poznań University begins cooperation with Military Aviation Plants. "Special meaning in the context of a fresh course of study"

An agreement has been signed.

The University of Natural Sciences in Poznań and Military Aviation Plants No. 2 S.A. established cooperation in the field of unmanned technologies. The agreement signed on 10 March this year opens the way for joint research, teaching and implementation activities, combining the university's technological possible with the industrial experience of 1 of the key entities of the Polish aviation sector.

The paper was signed by the Rector of the University of Nature in Poznań, prof. Krzysztof Szoszkiewicz, and the president of Military Aviation Plant No. 2 S.A., Jakub Gazda. Cooperation will include the improvement and application of unmanned systems, the implementation of joint investigation projects and teaching initiatives.

"Today's developed unmanned technologies are increasingly dual-use. This means solutions that can be utilized in both civilian and military areas. In practice, this includes applications in precision agriculture, environmental monitoring or spatial data analysis, but besides in the safety sector and the aviation industry. It is precisely in the field of dual-use technology that the complementary roles of partners, i.e. investigation possible and expert universities, as well as technological and implementation experience of industry, are peculiarly visible. The signed agreement is besides of peculiar importance in the context of the fresh course of survey launched at the University of Nature in Poznań - artificial intelligence and unmanned systems, which responds to the increasing request for specialists with competence in drone technology"- informs Iwona Cieślik, spokeswoman of the University of Natural Sciences in Poznań.

The signing of the agreement was accompanied by a gathering "Unmanned systems - from investigation to implementation", devoted to the improvement of unmanned systems and opportunities for cooperation between discipline and industry. The event was attended by representatives of the academic community, public administration and the industrial and agricultural sector.

"The signed agreement represents an crucial step towards developing cooperation between the technological community and manufacture and strengthening the region's possible in the area of modern technologies. Joint actions in the area of unmanned systems and artificial intelligence are intended to foster the improvement of solutions responding to the needs of the modern economy and security, as well as training of professionals prepared to work with technologies of the future"-
added the spokesperson.
