On Saturday, June 28, in Poznań, we celebrated the 69th anniversary of the outbreak of the Poznań Uprising, in which people protested against inhuman working conditions and wages, violating civilian rights. The peacekeeper’s initially revelry of workers turned into bloody clashes with police and troops during which nearly 100 people, residents of Poznań and surrounding towns were killed. The final number of victims is unknown due to the fact that the victims and their families were hiding due to the expanding repression.
Society of Poznań, residents, patriotic clubs, representatives of workplaces, fans do not forget their victims and meet each year in the main places where Protestant groups set out.
