The Agency for interior safety stopped 2 young Poles in Warsaw, who, according to investigators, were to aid in the arson of the military plant in the Czech Pardubice.
The fire occurred on 20 March and brought massive infrastructure losses. The work was taken by the extremist group The Earthquake Faction, declaring ideological motivation and opposition to arms cooperation with Israel. LPP Holding, which belongs to a mill in Pardubice, cooperated with that country.
The detainees – a 23-year-old female and a 22-year-old man – heard allegations of aiding in a terrorist act. They are facing 15 years in prison. They will not plead guilty, but the court has decided to arrest them temporarily. The investigation is conducted in cooperation with the Czech Republic.
At the same time, Czech services have stopped others, including foreigners, and politicians in Prague are speaking straight about possible terrorism. The Prime Minister called on arms companies to strengthen their own safeguards, which shows the scale of concerns about the safety of strategical sectors of the economy.
