photo of the Ministry of DefencePoles have different views on the possible restoration of compulsory military service – this is the consequence of the latest United Surveys poll. The number majority of respondents advocate this solution.
The latest United Surveys poll, which was conducted at the request of Virtual Poland, asked the following question: "Should compulsory military service be restored in the current global situation in Poland?".
A full of 50.5% were in favour of this solution, of which 21% indicated ‘yes’, while the remaining 29.5% chose the option ‘yes’.
Fewer Poles are against
On the another hand, 40.6% of respondents had an other opinion on the restoration of military service, of which 28.2% pointed to ‘not necessarily’, while 12.4% pointed to ‘not’. The another 8.9% had no opinion on this.
The survey commissioned by Virtual Poland was carried out on 13-15 September 2025 by the CATI&CAWI method. The survey kit was made on a typical example of 1,000 respondents.
