During Rafał Trzaskowski's rally in Tarnów, the attention of the gathered was caught by an different figure – a man dressed as Zorro, who appeared on the roof of a tenement home with a banner "#Byle not Trzaskowski". Now, being pursued by police, he gave an interview to the tv Republic, explaining the motives of his happening.
“Zorro” at the Trzaskowski rally – what happened?
On Thursday, the Citizen Coalition candidate for president met with residents of Tarnow. However, alternatively of politics, the main subject became the mysterious man in the Zorro mask, who hung on the roof with a controversial slogan.
– Yesterday we secured evidence in the form of a banner. We checked the building. Unfortunately, we failed to capture the man. He managed to escape – said Kamil Wójcik, a press officer of Tarnów police, in conversation with the portal independent.pl.
“This is not political happening,” explains “Zorro”
In an interview with Television, an anonymous activist explained that his action was to pay attention to the unrealised promises of Donald Tusk's government.
– I wouldn't call it political happening. As Zorro, I wanted to act on behalf of average citizens who are dissatisfied. At the time of Tarnów, due to the fact that in Tarnów Donald Tusk announced "100 specifics", which were mostly not met," he said.
He besides added that his character referred to opposition to decisions of erstwhile PO governments:
– Zorro has the erstwhile governments of Donald Tusk in his head, and now we have their return. In erstwhile governments, we have the issue of bank sale, shipyards.
“Zorro is safe” – the police did not catch him
Despite a police pursuit, the man assures us that he escaped.
– Yesterday after the happening of Zorro, coming off the roof, he jumped on the horse (please don't confuse with Roman Gierty), managed to distance and Zorro is safe – he was joking.
He besides announced that he might reappear:
– quite a few people on the net have invited Zorro to their home. I do not exclude that by 1 June Zorro will appear in another place in Poland. Remember, but not Trzaskowski.
