Postdoc in NCN Grants

NCN is protesting he's not getting adequate money. Protest right, but I'm not talking about it, I'm talking about postdocs.

Postdoc is specified a doctorate. Postdoc’s position is 1-3 years of contract to become a more experienced scientist.

I've been criticizing NCN for years for not hiring my own doctorate in grants from this institution. erstwhile a PhD student has a Leszinski promoter at the Institute of advanced Pressure, he should be looking for happiness elsewhere after his doctorate.

This makes sense in the ‘curiosity drive research’, due to the fact that you can learn fresh things at a halt and at the same time spread the cognition gained during your doctorate elsewhere.

But with technology, getting free of a doctorate is stupid. This is not why a doctorate learns all the secrets of getting a given material, or making a given instrument, to later sale this cognition to individual else. But NCN knows better.

In addition, postdoc is very hard to find. In my last 2 NCN grants, we did global postdoc competitions, but no 1 applied due to the fact that tech doctors from semiconductors employment manufacture paying 5 times more than NCN. No 1 volunteered, so I asked NCN to agree to hire my Ph.D. The answer came the next day: “No!!!” I had to give NCN a fewer 100 1000 zlotys.

There are no postdocs, so NCN “came to mind” and from 15 September raised the postdoc wage limit from PLN 140 1000 gross per year to PLN 210 thousand. Great, it's a sum comparable to offers from Spain or France, but... There's always a but.

The manager of the NCN grant has a wage limit of PLN 150 1000 (OPUS grants) and PLN 190 1000 (MAESTRO grant). Thus, it may happen that the distinguished (-a) prof. (-ka) with respective decades of experience will gain little than the postdoc he (they) adopted. This is an aberration.
