Portugal will fund a fresh article from the SAFE fund?

[Portugal in October 2024](https://defence24.pl/power-arms/another-conquest-cezara-French-action-drive-to-Portugal) has signed a framework agreement with French concern KNDS France to acquisition up to 36 copies of the cannon-haubic CAESAR Mk. II. They are intended to let the withdrawal from service of outdated towed Haubic M114 and self-propelled M109A5. The value of the framework agreement was not given, but its financing was to be provided from a fund of a full value of EUR 60 million with the presumption of implementation by 2026. presently Lisbon wants to finalize this acquisition in [the SAFE framework](https://defence24.pl/strong-armoured/French-hit-export-buyed-for-money-with-safe).
