Information about the agreement between Israel and Hamas appeared just before 1:00 a.m. Polish time on the authoritative account of the erstwhile US president on the fact Social platform.
“I am arrogant to announce that Israel and Hamas have approved the first phase of our Peace Plan. This means that all hostages will shortly be released, and Israel will retreat its troops to the agreed line. This is the first step towards strong, lasting and eternal peace. All sides will be treated fairly!” Trump wrote.
He added: “It’s a large day for the arabian and Muslim worlds, Israel, all surrounding states, and the United States of America. We thank the mediators of Qatar, Egypt and Turkey who have worked together with us so that this historical and unprecedented event can come true."

Let's remember.that the U.S. has been Israel's main ally for decades and its largest military aid provider. Following the Hamas attack of 7 October 2023, the United States provided Israel with additional arms packages (including ammunition, rocket defence systems and intelligence support), while legislature approved assistance for Israel worth more than $14 billion. Joe Biden's administration consistently defended Israel's rights to self-defense in the UN, frequently vetoing resolutions condemning Israeli actions in Gaza. At the same time, the U.S. pressed for "humane breaks in armed action" and for the provision of civilian assistance to the Gaza Strip.
