The president of the UOKiK, Tomasz Chróstny, issued a decision ordering Bank Pekao to remove the consequences of infringements, including compensation to consumers. This is the consequence of many complaints by customers who have reported that the bank does not respond to complaints within the statutory deadlines. According to the Authority's findings, the problem was systemic. In the period 2021–2023, delays frequently exceeded 60 days, and in utmost cases the consequence was missing for up to 1 year.
