"The deficiency of home drug production may endanger the safety of the state during the war, especially hybrid," warns the SGH and MON report. Poland, like most of Europe, is heavy dependent on imports of active substances (API), of which 60-70% come from China and India. Over 90 APIs are not available in Europe. Experts indicate that the reconstruction of API factories in the EU, despite costs, is necessary. In Poland, which has developed chemical and pharmaceutical industries, it is possible to make its own plants. The cost of construction of the API mill is estimated at PLN 1.8 billion. The return of production from Asia has already begun in respective European countries."
