A 47-year-old man was fatally shot by his colleague in the municipality of Tręmki Wielki (Pomorskie Province). The details of the tragedy are explained by investigators.
As Karol Kościuk of the Provincial Police Command in Pruszcz Gdańsk said, the accident occurred late Saturday evening in Graniczna Village. Men took part in a joint hunt.
The huntsman who fired the fatal shot was detained.
– The police were working at the scene under the supervision of the D.A. A prosecutorial investigation is underway to explain the circumstances and causes of the incident," said Asp. Kościuk.
The Polish Hunting Union referred to the tragic event, which expressed its willingness to cooperate with law enforcement authorities.
KZŁ besides informed that it had submitted a announcement to the competent territory disciplinary officer to explain the incident. The Ombudsman will take appropriate disciplinary action after the determination.
