“The Monster of Tarnow” and the San System

The San task is part of a broader concept of building Polish air, rocket and drone defense. The government plans to fund it from a fresh EU programme low-interest SAFE loans. The full cost of the task is expected to be around PLN 15 billion, and the implementation, with the cooperation of PGZ companies, private company APS and Norwegian company Kongsberg, was planned for 2 years. The first elements of the strategy are expected to enter the military this year.

During the meeting, the “monster from Tarnowa” was shown, as is called a four-barrel Gatling device weapon produced by Mechanical Plant in Zielonka. Guns have kal. 12.7 mm, the scope 2.2 km and is capable of combating both air and ground purposes. It so responds to the key problem of combating unmanned vehicles whose mass usage prevents the usage of costly missiles. Importantly, the “Tarnów Monster” allows you to combat enemy facilities without major financial expenditure.

Within the San system, weapons are to be integrated with Levan Long chassis, produced by Rosomak of Siemianowice Śląski.

The latest achievements of Polish industry
