Polish and allied aviation has been picked up. The military responds to Russia's attacks on Ukraine

In accordance with applicable procedures, the operational commander of the RFA has activated the essential forces and resources at his disposal. On-call hunting pairs were picked up, and ground air defence and radio-location systems reached full alert. As the Operations Command emphasizes, these activities are preventive in nature and are aimed at securing and protecting Polish airspace, especially in areas adjacent to areas under threat. The situation is being monitored on an ongoing basis and the subdued forces and means stay ready for immediate response. The military ensures that the actions taken are intended solely to guarantee the safety of the State and its citizens. Due to further attacks by the Russian Federation on facilities located in the territory of Ukraine, the operation of Polish and allied aviation began in the Polish airspace – the Operations Command of Types of Armed Forces reported.
