Polish anti-drones from Gdynia

Advanced Protection Systems and its sister company Eycore Eycore will invest in Gdynia and around 150 million PLN in developing their capabilities. The key nonsubjective is to implement the SAN program, providing modern anti-aircraft systems to combat unmanned aircraft in the east of the country, among others. The first 3 firing platoons will go to the Polish Army later this year.

As he submitted, Polish companies will invest around PLN 150 million in this territory in order to implement the contract concerning SAN programwhich will be financed by SAFE funds. “For the Ministry of Defence, that means that the contract for the SAN will be able to be handled, that is, the APS company takes the task that has been set up very seriously,” said the MON head advisor. “We are very pleased that the company that looks to the future does not care what politicians do, but invests due to the fact that it matters for our safety and our defence,” added Samsonowicz.

APS It is simply a Gdynia maker of anti-drone systems, utilized by both the military and another government services and by civilian entities (including airports, refineries, stadiums). In January 2026 the Armed Forces Agency signed agreement with PGZ and Norwegian company Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace for the transportation of battery modules of anti-aircraft systems capable of combating unmanned air systems (SAN) in which the key subcontractor is the APS.

The announced investment of APS (100 million PLN) means the construction of a fresh production hall in Gdynia or surrounding areas. Sister company Eycore, specializing in the production of SAR radar systems utilized in satellite observation, intends to make a plan and production centre for PLN 50 million. Both investments (total PLN 150 million) affect the creation of 200 fresh jobs in the region.

The anti-drone SAN sets are formed as a complement to a multi-layer and integrated anti-aircraft and rocket defence system. These kits will first safe the east border of Poland for effective and low-cost combating unmanned aircraft. A single battery module will consist of 3 fire platoons and a support platoon.

Each of the firing platoons will have full capability to detect, track, identify and combat air targets. The first 3 fire platoons of the first battery will go to the Polish Army this year, and all 18 strategy batteries are to be delivered within 2 years of signing the contract.
