– Our partner sought reliability, simplicity and advanced efficiency equipment. These are the features that have been defining weapon systems created in the ZM “Tarnów” for years – said Marcin Idzik, Vice-President after signing the contract Polish Armed Forces Group, liable for sales operations.
As the PGZ points out, the Tarnow rifles are already in the equipment of the Polish Army and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where they are valued as precise and reliable fire support systems. The LMC Light Infantry mortar is the latest construction of Tarnów specialists, which will debut in the armed forces on the African continent, confirming the increasing position of Polish defence technologies in global markets. – The export contract concluded by PGZ confirms the increasing assurance of the markets in the real-life, mature solutions, and these are assets that substance more than the catalogue declarations," said Vice-President Idzik.

The repeated Alex-338 Executive firearm is powered by 8.6x70 mm (.338 Lapua Magnum) ammunition, which is characterized by a large scope and firing force while maintaining very good accuracy and a tiny mass of weapons (6.1 kg). The Alex-338 firearm with a 660 mm barrel is designed for precise demolition of life force targets located at very long distances (2000 m) and somewhat armoured targets up to 1000 m.
WKW-50 is simply a repeatable 12.7x99 mm NATO (.50 BMG)-powered selection rifle. It is designed for precise demolition of point targets from a distance of up to 1700 m and demolition of method equipment (e.g. lightly armoured field vehicles, aircraft and helicopters at the airport, radio-location stations, method and optoelectronic devices) from a distance of up to 2000 m. WKW-50 is proven under the most utmost climatic conditions, as the scope of temperatures of this weapon ranges from -40 to +55 degrees Celsius. The mass of WKW-50, depending on the dimension of the barrel (737, 813, 880 mm), ranges from 14 to 14.3 kg.
Light LMC (Light Mortar Commando) infantry mortar is simply a 60.7 mm caliber weapon designed to fire the force of a surviving opponent and discovered targets, destruct reinforced surface targets, points and fire stations. The LMC from Tarnowskie plant is the only mortar on the marketplace to let shooting with missiles of up to 2,2 kg weight while ensuring the guaranteed durability of the barrel at the level of 2000 shots. In addition, the LMC is the only structure with a built-in programmable digital viewfinder capable of firing any 60 mm caliber ammunition and complying with the NATANAG 4425 ed.2 standard by uploading dedicated shooting tables with a distance-to-target display or by displaying angular values in case of usage of another ammunition than dedicated.

The mass of mortar operated by 1 to 2 operators is little than 7,5 kg. With the LMC, you can fire 30 shots with continuous fire at a velocity of 20 shots per minute (without improving the aiming) for targets located between 200 and more than 1300 m. The PGZ points out that the crucial asset of Tarnowian mortar systems, distinguishing them from competitive solutions, is their affirmative verification in conditions of real combat activities in Ukraine, where they confirmed advanced efficiency, resilience and usefulness in intensive military operations.
The sale of LMC mortars, Alex-338 rifles and WKW-50 together with ammunition is another contract concluded by the Polish Armed Group on the African market. Before MSBS Grot rifles went to 1 of the countries of Central and east Africa (The weapons mill "Łuknik" Radom) along with modern DCM-1 and LDK-4 (PCO) sights. The PGZ points out that the fresh order opens up opportunities to further grow cooperation and strengthen the group's position as 1 of the leading suppliers of light weapons and support systems in the region.
