Poland bought hundreds of rockets for fighters

Details of the acquisition have not yet been provided. However, it is known that on 12 March 2024 the U.S. Department of State approved the anticipation of selling AMRAAM missiles to Poland with accompanying packages for a maximum of US$1.69 billion. The maximum package allowed the acquisition of up to 745 air-to-air AIM-120C-8 Advanced average scope Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAM), 50 rails for LAU-129 weapons (to carry AMRAAMs but besides AIM-9X Sidewinder, in Poland they can be utilized for F-16); 16 AMRAAM guided sections, spare parts and method support.
