On 21 August, Deputy Minister of National Defence Paweł Bejda met with a Vietnamese delegation led by Rear Admiral Le Ba Quan, Deputy Commander of the Navy of Vietnam. The talks focused on strengthening cooperation in the field of defence.
Both parties stressed their common interest in strengthening relations in the military area. During the meeting, the Secretary of State pointed out the anticipation of supplying the Vietnamese Armed Forces with modern equipment of Polish production, which proved to be in combat conditions and could contribute to further modernization of the Vietnamese army. The talks afraid both possible equipment sales and technology transfer, which would let Vietnam to make its own production capacity.
Deputy Minister Bejda besides stressed that Poland is open to intensifying training cooperation, including the exchange of experience and cognition in military operations, as well as participation in joint exercises. specified actions could contribute to a better common knowing and further strengthening of military relations between the 2 countries.
