Poland and Anti-personnel Mines: “Forbidden” weapons for fresh war

Poland decided to retreat from the Ottawa Convention, ratified in 1997 and signed in 2012, in the summertime of 2025. At the end of July, the applicable bill came into force after Parliament had accepted it and signed by president Karol Nawrocki. Today, however, the deadline for denunciation of the Convention has formally expired.
