Successful starts of representatives of the Polish Army, who competed in regional competitions in orientation runs around the Slovenian village of Lipica. In the event under the patronage of the global Military Sports Council, the White-Reds won six discs: 3 gold, 2 silver and bronze. Twice on the highest podium stood spit. Aleksandra Hornik.
The Slovenian army organized regional competitions as part of the major five-day global event Lipica Open. – The military championship classification included the results of the first 2 races: long distance and average distance. The 3 further stages of our competitions are treated by training, among others, in terms of preparation for the sprinting planet championships – informs the chor. staff. W The six armies competed for regional championship medals. Apart from the hosts, soldiers from Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Latvia and Poland competed. Women's runnings were very well done by CGM players who took all the places on the podium and thus proved unrivalled in the squad classification. In the rivalry of men, the strongest squad was represented by Austrian representatives, and the White-Reds placed in second position.
The gold medal in the individual championship classification won the spit. Aleksandra Hornik, silver st. mar. spec. Ewa Bernaciak, and brown plut. Hanna Wiśniewska. Hornik was the best at both distances. In the long-distance run it gained 61 min 12 s. The second place – with a failure of 10 s – was taken by Bernaciak and the 3rd by Wiśniewska (to the winner lost 5 min 50 s). On the another hand, the winner of the general classification triumphed with time 32 min 18 p. Wiśniewska was second (loss 7 min 33 s), 3rd place was taken by Latvian Signe Sirmā (8 min 8 s), and 4th by Bernaciak (8 min 52 s).
In men's rivalry, the gold medal in the "general" won spit. Michał Olejnik. The typical of the CGM managed to win, even though he did not win any of the 2 races. The Pole, however, was the most moving player: at long distance he was second, and at average third. The Austrians stood on the podium with the Oilman: the silver was won by Mathias Peter and the bronze by Nicolas Kastner. Plut. The oilman after 2 runs overtakes Peter by just a second, the bronze medalist lost to Pole by 1 min 8 s. The long-distance run was won by Austrian Simon Tobler, who yet did not number in the general classification as he recorded large losses at average distance. The five-day Lipica Open competition will end tomorrow. After 3 stages in the open classification for medal positions, there are 2 runners from the “arm of champions”. Bernaciak takes second place and Pawlak takes 3rd place. Polka loses to leading Hungarian Janki Mikes 16 min 32 s, and Pole to Czecha Prokopa Tomáška 3 min 33 p.
