Polish pilots paved the way in the USA

The Ebbing Air Base is home for Polish pilots who are trained to sit behind the rudders of F-35 "Huszar". Now the Finns join them. Another F-35 fighters purchased by the Finnish Air Force have just landed at the base. In the future, Ebbing will flyNothing from another countries to undergo mandatory training before their fresh fighters enter the country.

The Ebbing National defender Air Base (Fort Smith, Arkansas) reported that on February 18, the second F-35 aircraft (JF-502) produced for the Finnish Air Force arrived. The first (JF-501) took the test flight in December 2025 and was already in the Ebbing base in early January, where it would service as training for Finnish pilots. “We are very happy to welcome our Finnish partners to Ebbing,” said Colonel Nicholas Ihde, commander of 85 hunting groups stationed there. – Our program goes beyond simple training. It is about building strong relationships and strengthening our collective deterrence capabilities. Training Finnish pilots here, along with our forces, contributes to strengthening interoperability," added the American officer.

The authoritative beginning of the training center for abroad F-35 pilots at Ebbing Base took place in September 2024.
