Our compatriot, Captain Martin Graban of Gdańsk, and the crew of the Nautilus investigation vessel, on which Graban is I officer, discovered the wreckage of the nipponese destroyer Teruzuki (pol. the Shining Moon). The wreck was found at a depth of over 800 metres off the coast of Guadalcanal, 1 of the Solomon Islands. It was first traced to an unmanned DriX submarine owned by the University of fresh Hampshire, which ran advanced seabed mapping. Then the E/V Nutillus, whose crew, utilizing a remote-controlled submarine, confirmed that we were dealing with a wreck and identified it.
