A PiS politician hangs posters without permission. 2 are next to General Zawack's monument

Krzysztof Szczucki is the president of the Government Legislative Centre and “one” on the list of PiS in territory 5 based in Toruń. During the last campaign, PiS candidate's election posters as MP became an integral part of the Włocławka landscape. They were placed at strategical points of the city, including on poles by the roads, making them almost unavoidable for drivers. The problem is that the posters were placed without permission.

The Electoral Code is bowing

Pursuant to Articles 109 and 110 of the Electoral Code, posters and electoral slogans may be placed on the walls of buildings, public transportation stops, signposts and posts, fences, lanterns, energy equipment, telecommunications and others only after obtaining the consent of the owner or manager of the property, facility or equipment. In addition, posters should be placed in specified a way that their subsequent removal does not origin harm to the objects concerned.

As regards the penalty, in accordance with paragraph 1 of Article 495 of the Electoral Code, a individual who, without obtaining the right consent, places election posters and slogans in the abovementioned places may be fined up to PLN 5 000.

Opposition politicians responded

Krystian Łuczak, Councillor of the Civic Coalition and candidate of the KO to the Sejm, informed the municipal services of the full situation.

These are not the only controversy about the run led by Krzysztof Szczucki. On Friday, 8 September, in Toruń, Szczucki placed 2 immense electoral banners alongside the monument of legendary Gen. This situation was commented on by Toruń councillor Piotr Lenkiewicz. According to the local government, Zawack's character was utilized shamefully for political skirmishes, and the full situation was described as "a bellock below the belt".

“This is unimaginable. And I hope that this situation will never happen, and that you will be where it should be, that is, outside the Sejm" - said Lenkiewicz on the recording.

The councilman then released an authoritative message on his Facebook. He one more time described the outrageous situation with the words: "This event is 1 of the most outrageous electoral campaigns that have taken place in Toruń in fresh years". The message besides criticised the full governing organization of the Law and Justice for "an effort to usurp all part of our common history."

In the last paragraph, Lenkiewicz called on Szczucki to apologize publicly. In addition, he stressed that if an appropriate fee was not paid for the posting of advertisements, then the “one” of the PiS should make a donation to the activities of the Foundation General Elżbieta Zawacka.
