The barrack politicians? Chief MON is the first to be elected

Prime Minister Donald Tusk presented the thought of universal military training last Friday in the Sejm. Now, before the government meeting, he announced that Poland plans to increase the number of volunteers to 100 1000 a year by 2027, and by the end of March a model will be announced that will let further improvement of training. Volunteer exercises will be supplemented by specialist classes specified as drone training or modern technology. The programme will be targeted at people aged 18 to 60. Tusk added that there would besides be a training centre, which will usage the cognition of veterans specified as members of the GROM and JW Lubliniec.

He will encourage politicians

The participation in the training was declared by Władysław Kosiniak-Kamish, head of the MON.

Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced that the training will besides include specialised courses, specified as those concerning crisis management, in which he intends to participate. He would so like to encourage others, including politicians, to participate in the announced programmes.

Training is already underway

During the meeting, Tusk pointed out that voluntary military training is presently ongoing for a period and participants receive a wage of PLN 6 000 for them.

The current monthly basic training is an entry into service in operational troops. Participants shall hold them under voluntary essential military service, which they may proceed in a specialised course of up to 11 months. After his completion, they may search admission to the service. About 35,000 people receive basic training each year.

Let us remind that as early as April parliamentarians will have the chance to participate in military training designed specifically for politicians. Deputy Head of the MON, Stanisław Wąątek, told Polish Radio that the program was ready, and shortly the first MPs would be able to put on uniforms. The training will take place in the armored brigade in the Warsaw Wesoła territory and at the Academy of War Art. Participants will get both theoretical knowledge, concerning the defence doctrine of the country and its interpretation, as well as applicable knowledge, including shooting, medical rescue and endurance rules in hard conditions.
