On Sunday, Bucharest's streets filled with crowds of protesters demanding a second circular of presidential elections. The protest was a reaction to the decision of the Romanian Constitutional Court, which invalidated the results of the first round, a win by pro-Russian candidate Călin Georgescu. The organizers, led by George Simion, organization leader of the Alliance for the Unification of the Romanians, identified the demonstration as the largest in years.
