On Sunday, the streets of Bucharest were filled with crowds of protesters demanding a second circular of presidential elections. The protest was a reaction to the decision by Romania's constitutional court to invalidate the results of the first round, won by pro-Russian candidate Calin Georgescu. Organizers, led by George Simion, leader of the Alliance for the Unity of Romanians, called the demonstration the largest in years.
