Last year Poland She signed with India Social safety agreement. Like another contracts of this kind, it assumes that foreigners are added up to periods of work in Poland and the country of origin. Poles work in India in trace quantities. On the another hand, most Hindus can't number on retirement in their country at all, as there is no compulsory social safety strategy there. Therefore, this opens the way for the Polish minimum pension and at a inexpensive cost – just a fewer days worked in our country.
Poles will fund pensions for Hindus. The global agreement, which went to the Warsaw Sejm for ratification, provides for common honouring of periods of work in both countries and avoiding double covering. Under the agreement, it will be possible to sum up working periods of both countries, which will enable them to get a minimum pension in Poland. Theoretically, specified agreements aim to defend the interests of people working abroad and guarantee continuity of pension rights. In practice, they open up the anticipation of large-scale drainage of ZUS by foreigners from India.
The Warsaw authorities do not even cover that this is the intent of the agreement. The project's justification clearly indicated that the agreement will benefit primarily Indian citizens, who, according to data from 2024, already reported over 20 1000 in the Polish social safety system. The rule of crediting insurance periods spent in India for the period of employment entitling to the Polish minimum pension raises the concerns of opposition MPs who argue the demolition of Polish public finances and subsidies of abroad nationals.
