Nearly 60 percent of respondents cannot imagine Ukraine's membership in the EU and NATO without solving the issue of the Volhynia massacre, according to a survey by United Surveys. Nearly a 4th of the respondents are of the other opinion. The subject of Volhynia became part of the ongoing presidential run after Karol Nawrocki's declaration made on Polsat News. The head of the Institute of National Remembrance emphasized that without the exhumation of the victims of the UPA, "he does not see Ukraine in any structure".
