Why is that important?
The poll results could be a signal for the current ruling coalition, which has been trying to improve the situation in the country for 14 months. The fact that the majority of those surveyed better mention the governments of the erstwhile Prime Minister may point to public discontent and concerns about the future of the rulers — especially in the context of the upcoming presidential elections.
How do experts measure the results?
Professor Henryk Domański, quoted by “Super Express”, notes that the concerns of Poles may not only arise from the deterioration of the material situation, but besides from uncertainty about the future. “These results do not necessarily show a real deterioration in the material situation of Poles, although the increase in prices is surely inactive severe, but alternatively concerns about the future, which does not appear in pink colours,” emphasises the sociologist.
The poll of the Pollster investigation Institute was conducted by the CAWI method on 8-10 February on a group of 1077 adult Poles.
