The State Treasury—that is, all citizens—will pay compensation for the unlawful actions of Ziobro’s disciplinary ombudsman during the PiS government. The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) ruled that he violated European law by prosecuting Gdańsk justice Włodzimierz Brazewicz.
