Poland urgently needs a demographic strategy

Demography – a field of discipline dealing with the formation, life and passing of the human community. It includes issues specified as: natural growth, migration, social structure and spatial distribution and social and sociological impacts. This definition can be read in the leading web encyclopedia. Demography itself is 1 of the most crucial activities of the state as it affects its full operation by creating request and supply in the economy. Unfortunately, almost since the beginning of existence, the 3rd Republic has been facing problems of a demographic nature, low fertility, and thus an ageing society requires expanding pension expenditure with less and less workers. How did the United Right handle these tasks over the last 2 terms of government?

Currency

The Law and Justice taking over promised 500+ for the second and subsequent child. Then this cuticle changed to all child. Although the short-term growth effect of births was seen, it besides fell so quickly. Today, the birth rate is dramatically low and leads to an always worse economical situation in the country.

Internal migration

According to the Central Statistical Office, there are 100,000 more men than women in the age group from 20 to 34 years in the Polish village. This is mainly due to the fact that young women leave the village in search of work and a better life, leaving men there. In cities, however, there are more women than men. It was found to be a demographic but besides cultural problem, due to the fact that where there are no women, many men can stay bachelors, and where there are no men, many women can stay virgins. This is peculiarly evident in tiny towns, mainly in agrarian areas where the number of young women is much lower than the number of men. On the another hand, the highest rate of feminization, i.e. the number of women divided by the number of men, can be seen in the vicinity of the 5 most crucial Polish agglomerations (Warsaw, Krakow, Tricity, Wrocław, Poznań). The trend of strengthening the largest agglomerations during the United Right was visible. Unfortunately, the regionalisation policy announced by Jarosław Kaczyński failed, leading to the further collapse of the province. The problem of sex imbalance has a immense impact on society due to the fact that the deficiency of possible partners makes it hard to start a household and rise children, and this leads to demographic problems specified as an ageing population. This besides leads to greater social tensions which affect crime.

Immigration from abroad

In 2022 alone, 365 1000 work permits were issued in Poland. This is simply a evidence quantity so far, although by observing the trend we can anticipate that by 2023 this value will be exceeded. By reading in more item into the data, we can separate immigrants according to certain criteria. The primary is the sex of the individual who receives a work permit. Then we see that 302 1000 work visas were issued for men and 62 1000 for women. This gives women in general an immigrant ratio of around 17%. Another crucial criterion is age. Now let's check the sex balance in the key demographic range, which is 25-34 years. It is most crucial due to the fact that at this age, most people start families and have a major impact on their fertility in the country. So in this characteristic as many as 85% of immigrants are men, plus this scope is besides the most numerous. In 10 countries with the largest economical immigration to Poland, in more than half most citizens believe Islam. It can so be risked that a typical immigrant during the regulation of the United Right was a young Muslim man.

Future plans

Looking at how events have unfolded in fresh weeks, it can be concluded that we will most likely have a fresh government by the end of the year. Although millions of things can be written that require immediate change, the demographic strategy should be established as shortly as possible and should be created for a period greater than 1 word of the Sejm. This, of course, requires cooperation between different political groups and a “great alliance”. Will the fresh government stand up to the challenge and start a well-thought-out demographic policy or will it stay passive to specified an important, unmedial substance for the country? We'll check it out soon.
