70-mm laser-guided missiles, launched from a variety of platforms—ranging from light vehicles and unmanned ground systems, through helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles, to combat aircraft—are becoming increasingly important. 1 reason for this is the request to counter the widespread usage of unmanned aerial vehicles, including Shahid/Gheran-class attack systems. The Polish defence manufacture possesses the capabilities to undertake work on a home strategy of this class, including 1 of its key components—the SAL semi-active laser seeker.
