Laser-controlled missiles of 70 mm caliber, fired from various platforms – from light vehicles and unmanned land systems, through helicopters and unmanned aircraft to combat aircraft – are becoming increasingly important. 1 reason is the request to combat mass-used unmanned aircraft, including Shahid/Gierań class impact systems. The Polish manufacture has the competence to work on the national strategy of this class, including 1 of its key elements – a semi-active laser guidance head SAL.
