Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia close borders to Russian travellers in practice

“We know that Russian agents usage forged papers and undertake various types of operations utilizing tourist visas,” Estonian abroad Minister Urmas Reinsalu said Saturday in an interview with Helsingin Sanomat. The Finnish regular writes in its Saturday edition that as of the beginning of the next week, the Baltic states and Poland are closing their borders to Russian travelers in practice. Then Finland will be the only EU country neighbouring Russia, through which Russian citizens will be able (despite restrictions on the Finnish side) to enter the Schengen zone.
