Poland appoints the Border Defence Component. fresh step in strengthening the east border

The national defence minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced the creation of the Borderland defence Component – a fresh military structure to be liable for supporting the protection of the east and north-eastern borders of Poland. The name refers to the historical Border Protection Corps from the period II of the Republic of Poland, but the fresh formation is to be adapted to modern threats specified as hybrid actions, migration pressures or threats associated with the usage of drones.
