That's the kind of album we haven't had on our country yet. In the book Prof. Wojciech Polak and Master Adam Bujak entitled “Poland. 12 Centuries” (White Raven) Poland has been shown from the earliest to the latest, age after age. Each century, from X to XXI, has been separately characterized. It was besides recalled that there had previously been Prapolska. Together with the authors of this book we travel through our rich history, get acquainted with the native history, culture and art – there is something to be arrogant of! This journey shortly turns out to be a large pleasure, for Adam Bujak’s photographs, carefully selected, delight in their beauty. The artist frequently looked for different images, trying to match the erstwhile masters of architecture and art, whose works he captured in his lens.
The publisher decided to enrich the layer with an attractive text. So he invited 1 of the most prominent Polish historians, Prof. Wojciech Polak. It is an author who not only has large knowledge, but besides writes literaryly, skillfully utilizing a pen – it is well read. These are not short, flashy lyrics that are usually placed in albums. If we sum up the descriptions of the various centuries, it turns out that we have a large compendium of cognition about the full past of our Homeland.

It is very interesting in this different book that the author of the photos Adam Bujak, who has travelled Poland many times across and along, decided to photograph besides objects not known but beautiful and valuable. This makes real discoveries. Next to Wawel, erstwhile cathedrals, Royal Łazienki or another magnificent, popular castles or temples, we meet, for example, a tiny church in Dziekanowice with a Romanesque chancel from the 11th century, or the church of the Birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Lapczyca founded by Kazimierz the Great. We look at the beautifully decorated folk huts in Zalipie or the 12th century salt mines in Bochnia and Wieliczka. We are besides looking at the highest skyscraper in the European Union built in Warsaw only a fewer years ago. There are 600 pictures in the album, and 1 thing is more interesting.
The authors sought to give back the wealth of our national heritage. It wasn't easy, but they did. So we invitation you and them to walk through the cards of this book – for a fascinating walk in Poland!
