For the first time in history, an officer of the Polish Army – to the degree of a four-star general – will lead 1 of NATO's combined commanders – JFC Brunssum in the Netherlands. On social media, the head of the General Staff of the Polish Army General Wiesław Kukuła informed about the decision. He stressed that the choice of the Polish commander to lead Allied NATO Force Command in Brunssum (Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum – JFC-B) is an unprecedented event in the past of the Polish army. As General Kukuła pointed out: “This is an crucial proof of trust in the Polish Army and our defence efforts!”.

The Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Federation did not give any name, although the national media immediately noted that the Polish Army presently has 2 four-star generals in active service: the Gen.
