A Pole buys more alcohol for an average wage than 2 decades ago? GUS data surprises

According to GUS data, in 2024 the statistical Pole could buy over 2.1 1000 beers, 313 bottles of wine or close to 250 bottles of vodka for an average salary. 20 years ago, that was over a 1000 beers less. According to the WHO report, Poland is in the central part of the European ranking in terms of affordability of alcohol.
