The benefit of 800 plus (early 500 plus, paid as of 2016), was intended to increase fertility, but failed this exam. According to the Central Statistical Office, in 2024 only 252,000 children were born in Poland, or at least 200 years. 800 plus is simply a program in which all kid of the parent receives funds from the Social Insurance Institution erstwhile a period in the amount of PLN 800 (more about TU). The Parliamentary Committee on Petitions has been asked to terminate this benefit.

800 plus is not the only witness active in the petition. According to "Fact", it besides assumes the elimination of individual income tax, but besides the payment of additional pensions - thirteens and fourteens. This would be a major change in the current financial strategy in our country. "The impact of PIT in 2024 amounted to about PLN 97.6 billion. The full cost of programs 800 plus (about PLN 70 billion), 13th pension (about PLN 13 billion) and 14th pension (about PLN 14 billion) amounted to about PLN 97 billion. PIT income is almost equal to the expenditure on these 3 benefits" - we read in the citizens' proposal.
Abolition 800 plus. Will everyone benefit from this?
"The abolition of the PIT would be a common solution for all taxpayers, including pensioners and child-rearing workers. The taxation strategy would become simpler, clearer and fairer" - explained the petitioner quoted by "Fact". "The household 500 plus, now 800 plus, has not led to fertility growth, which was 1 of its main objectives - this is simply a de facto social programme without income thresholds, which contradicts the definition of social support from the state budget" - he adds.
800 plus. erstwhile to apply?
Depending on the time limit within which the payment of the benefit is requested, 800 plus the payment period. On the ZUS website we read: "If you apply from 1 February to 30 June of the year in which the service period begins, you will be entitled to benefits from 1 June to 31 May of the following year (e.g. if you apply from 1 February to 30 June 2025, you will receive benefits from 1 June 2025 to 31 May 2026)".
