From now on, a regulation by the Minister of National Defence is in force to increase the salaries of essential professional soldiers. The lowest wage increases to PLN 6.5 1000 gross, and the average wage to more than PLN 10 thousand. The increases for individual bodies, depending on the degree and position, scope from PLN 200 to PLN 660 gross per month. Remuneration payments will besides increase.

The decree of the Minister of National Defence concerning the wage increase of essential professional soldiers was announced in the diary of Laws on Wednesday 25 February. present the regulations come into force. elder officers will receive the highest increases – from PLN 290 to PLN 660 gross. In the case of brigade generals, the increase ranged from PLN 440 to PLN 470, lieutenant colonels from PLN 320 to PLN 340, and majors from PLN 290 to PLN 300. The junior officers will receive increases from 270 to 280 PLN.

The wage of elder officers increases by 250 PLN and junior officers – from 220 to 230 PLN. The lowest amounts of increases included the corps of professional serials. Older series specialists will receive PLN 210 more per month, while older series and ranks will receive PLN 200 more per month.

Thus, from now on, the lowest wage of the professional soldier is PLN 6500 gross (increase by PLN 200), and the average wage is over PLN 10 1000 (increase by more than PLN 291).

The fresh wage rates of professional soldiers are due to the provisions of the Budget Act, according to which from 1 January 2026 the basic amount – 1 of the elements of the military wage strategy – increased by 3%, from PLN 2193.21 to PLN 2259.11. The multiplier, determined by the President's decree, remained unchanged at 4.43. It is the product of the base amount and the multiplier that determines the basic salary.

New salaries are to be paid in March, with a levelling from the beginning of the year.

The basic wage is the basis for calculating another monetary claims received by soldiers. Therefore, the increase in the ‘base’ means not only a higher wage ‘on hand’, but besides an increase in, for example, vacation gratification, service transfer allowance or retraining payments for soldiers leaving the army. A wage increase besides means higher traineeship allowances, which are paid to professional soldiers for long-term military service.
