On Sunday evening, the attention of the Polish public was mostly focused on the results of the second circular of local elections. peculiar attention was given to overtime in Wrocław. According to PKW data, Jacek Sutryk became the president of this city, winning 68.29 percent of the vote. The second place with the support of 31.71 percent was taken by the 3rd Way candidate, Isabella Bodnar. The Sutryk prevailed despite the scandal in which the last days of the run passed.
This is about the scandalous poster that was hung at Szewskia Street in Wrocław. It was part of the exhibition entitled “Iron Man”. On it was presented a bare adult of the indeterminate sex (a female figure with a beard), wearing a neck belt of a bare child. Many net users rated the poster as promoting pedophilia, leaving no dry thread on display.
But that is not all. The case became even more controversial after disclosure that the exhibition organizer, the Art Transparent Foundation, receives public support from the Wrocław budget. It is not surprising, therefore, that the city president and the representatives of the Magistrate were called upon by citizens to explain the situation. However, it seems that social outrage did not make besides much impression on the Sutryk. At least this is the consequence of the entry that the politician placed on the X site (original spelling):
Art in Wrocław is based on freedom of communication. We respect that. However, we are aware that public space belongs to all residents. The city is not the organizer of the exhibition presented in the Szewska Pasja Street Gallery. The gallery is run by an independent Art Transparent organization. We do not want to interfere in the content of exhibitions organized by NGOs. Personally, I am not an enthusiast of this exhibition, but I am even more opposed to censorship, which a large part of us associate with the sad period in our history.

Census is us, not us.
The words above show that Jacek Sutryk does not accept the censorship of NGOs. However, the double standards of president Wrocław came to light quickly. net users recalled his decision to dissolve the pro-life assembly in December 2019.
There is no consent for specified disgusting matters in public space, I respect the right of everyone to express their views, but no 1 in Wrocław will do so by violating the views and freedom of others. – Sutryk wrote on X (original spelling).
Thus, it seems that the president of Wrocław is more disturbed by the demonstration of the life of unborn children than by the exhibition, which many people took as a promotion of pedophilia. Not only netizens responded to this curiosity. The poster disappeared from the public space of Wrocław. There was a video on the Internet, showing empty display cases, in which “works”. They were previously painted with paint. A vote on the case was taken by the Art Transparent Foundation, which reported that the exhibition was cancelled due to a “hate action”.
In a akin tone, Wrocławska “Gazeta Wyborcza” spoke, lamenting the “destruction of the exhibition”. In this case, it is besides hard to look for the lamentation of journalists of the aforementioned diary over the hatred that meets the pro-life environment. As you can see, however, double standards do not hinder the political career, as evidenced by the Sunday election consequence of Jack Sutryk.
