About 300 volunteers from Podkarpacia decided to spend their vacation in uniform. any of them have already completed the training, and others will begin it on 16 August 2025. The WOT vacation task in the 3rd Podkarpackie OT Brigade is not only military training but besides the beginning of the service, which shapes character and builds the strength of the community. The second roundus of the 7th edition of the nationwide task “Holidays with WOT” in the 3rd Podkarpackie Territorial Defence Brigade starts on 16 August. This is another chance to start serving in the WOT ranks – both as part of a 16-day basic and 8-day compensatory training. As part of this year's edition of military training during the holiday, the 3rd Podkarpackie Territorial Defence Brigade will train about 300 volunteers from all over the region.
The training takes place in 2 formulas:
- 8-day compensatory training – for those who have already taken a military oath,
- 16-day basic training – intended for those who first face a military challenge.
For many participants, it is only the beginning – the first steps on the path, which will lead to an expanding commitment to military service all month. It is simply a time of intense development: not only to improve tactical and shooting skills, but besides to systematically build physical fitness or to learn to operate under changing conditions.
– The interest in serving in the 3rd Podkarpackie Territorial Defence Brigade is constantly increasing, which we consider as a proof of social trust towards our formation. This is not only a reason for our pride, but above all a strong motivation to proceed to act and constantly rise our readiness,” said Colonel Michał Malyska, commander of the 3rd PBOT.
The WOT vacation task shows that there are no shortages of volunteers for the service – including students, students, teachers, office workers and freelancers. 1 thing unites them – the willingness to act and the readiness to be always close to people.
