After the war, the Podkarpackie region became an area of intensive improvement of the aviation industry, concentrated mainly in Mielec and Rzeszów, but besides present in the Magistrates of Małopolska and Krosno. Despite the dramatic turmoil of the earliest phase of systemic transformation, this manufacture not only survived but besides developed. This proves that the publicist initially word ‘Aviation Valley’ is not overly pompous and pretentious. For more than 15 years, the organisational framework of this creation has been the Aviation Valley Association, whose heart is Rzeszów with Jasionka Airport and having high-level courses of aero-technical training at Rzeszów University of Technology. Currently, the Association includes 212 members, the number of employees in the aviation manufacture concentrated in DL exceeds 35 1000 workers, and the yearly value of production produced here exceeds PLN 3.5 billion.
