The Munich safety Conference (MSC) invited politicians from all parties in the German Bundestag to its next edition – for the first time in 2 years it besides means alternate politicians for Germany (AfD). According to the dpa agency, AfD leader Alice Weidel has not yet received an invitation. The decision to include AfD is simply a departure from the policy of erstwhile conference chief Christoph Heusgen.
Heusgen excluded AfD and the extremist left-wing organization of Bündnis Sahra Wagenknecht (BSW) from the MSC edition in 2024 and 2025.
