PLN 7000 from ZUS is just the beginning. The government and the Sejm are preparing another revolution in ceremony allowances

The increase in the amount of the ceremony allowance from PLN 4000 to PLN 7000 from 1 January 2026 was a long-awaited breakthrough after 13 years of freezing rates. According to the findings of the Sejm subcommittee on social security, this is not the end of the reforms. The government, in cooperation with ZUS and KRUS, is preparing further facilities for the families of the deceased, including the digitization of procedures and fresh forms of support for highly costly burials.
