"He has a man of nerve," "I hope they won't let him in", "As a private associate has the right, but we all know what his motivation is" – I read about Jarosław Kaczyński under the posts of Catholic media.
Or, "It's not your march, it's our march," "It's a shame politicians always do it for show," "Patriots."
Emotions buzz. Who remembers that for years the PiS with the March of independency was not on the way. It was never their fairy tale, though they tried to connect. Suddenly, erstwhile the right is fiercely fighting for the electorate and the Confederate is throwing punches at the PiS, we have a turn of almost 180 degrees.
"Suddenly the PiS saw the Confederacy and the March of independency due to the fact that they know that without the votes of these people will be fragile in the election," "What does the Law and Justice gotta do with the March of Independence? PiS tried to destruct it" – the nationalists on X are cooking.
President Karol Nawrocki, president Jarosław Kaczyński, and another PiS politicians are to appear on the march. Plus, you know, there's going to be all the Confederate cream. Grzegorz Braun is besides invited to the march. So the mixture is almost explosive. The most political march always imagined. And the fight for the electorate.
The March of Independence. Kaczyński participated only twice
Let us remind – the erstwhile president Andrzej Duda participated in the independency March only once. And the president of the PiS twice. For the first time in 2018, on the 100th anniversary of Poland's regaining independency – Kaczyński spoke about a large success, made himself selfie, which conquered the network.
And second – in 2024. Jarosław Kaczyński at the time felt that the Law and Justice were only 1 intention.
– We want the patriotic camp to be united. We want the patriotic camp to walk together in this march, but besides in the political projects needed to change the current state of Poland – he announced.
Several twelve PiS parliamentarians arrived last year, not counting organization supporters and sympathizers. They told us then how they organized coaches, and there were so many willing that they had to make reserve lists. They besides repeated 1 after another:
– March is simply a national good, we must usage it and show our opposition to what is happening in our country. The movement in the nation is great. In any sense, this is provoked by the current government, which breaks the law and is simply a threat to the Polish state. I think Polish patriots feel these threats.
As much as they have since succeeded in uniting the patriotic camp, there is no request to even mention it.
The right is fighting for the electorate. "PiS with the Confederacy began to conflict for the March of Independence"
It's been on the right side for months. There's inactive no unification on the horizon. In addition, Sławomir Mentzen just called Jarosław Kaczyński a liar and a jerk.
And Confederacy MP Stanisław Tyszka plunged Zbigniew Ziobra and Janusz Kowalski, claiming that PiS policy was to offer him... money from the Justice Fund for his own political purposes. His words caused a storm.
"This is the hard artillery of the Confederate directed at the PiS", "Confederation no longer puts on the PiS, puts on itself" – it sounded in comments.
The polls talk for themselves. The last CBOS survey together gives the Confederation of Freedom and independency and the Confederation of the Polish Crown over 21% of support.
But the PiS can feel the ground under its feet. In the same survey the Kaczyński organization recorded the lowest consequence in CBOS surveys in 13 years – 20.7%.
In addition, the imagination of the PiS alliance with the Confederacy does not much to the Poles. In the survey Opinion24 for RMF FM as much as 47% of respondents expressed their opposition.
Under these circumstances, the PiS is preparing for the March of Independence. Locking in like an uninvited guest.
"I do not invitation Kaczyński to the March of Independence. Let him stay at home" – so in 2024 he discouraged PiS president Witold Tumanowicz, MP of the Confederacy and erstwhile Deputy Chief of the March of Independence.
It didn't work then and it's hard to imagine it working today.
"PiS with the Confederacy began to conflict for the March of Independence. (...) The fight for fire in the camp of today’s opposition is underway, so the PiS will not give up. But what about the joint electorate?" – responded to X Artur Dziambor, erstwhile Confederate politician.
Nawrocki confirmed his participation in the independency March
PiS club head Mariusz Błaszczak announced on 28 October that Jarosław Kaczyński would take part in the march and would not be alone.
“This is not a march of nationalists, it is simply a march of Polish patriots,” he stated in TOK FM.
In the ranks of the nationalists, they got stuck. "The March of independency has been organized from the beginning by people associated with the National Movement and the environments forming the current Confederation", "It wasn't the PiS that initiated the marches, and the activists of this organization were hard to see" – it boils in comments.
On the another hand, people react: "The March of independency is not the property of the Confederate, which attacks the PiS venoms. The march is owned by all Poles".
The president himself, asked by "Fact", whether he would walk in 1 line with Sławomir Mentzen, replied: "We are on the March of Independence, but we are in another place.
He was besides expected to say, "Mr. Mentzen will most likely be somewhere else."
President Karol Nawrocki besides announced his participation. "Meet us all, as all year, on 11 November at the independency March in Warsaw" – he submitted on Saturday on X.
The march traditionally begins on the Roman Dmowski family. It will leave at 2.30 p.m. – Jerusalem Avenues and Poniatowski Bridge on the membrane of the National Stadium.
The political comments so far are clear.
"PiS on the independency March is simply a sign of the times" – he evaluates Dominic Długosz in "Newsweek".
"Rzeczpospolita" calls this year's test march. "The right in Poland is present facing a serious test during the upcoming March of independency 2025, where the influences of the Law, Confederation and the movement of Grzegorz Braun will be measured" – Michał Kolanko analyses.
Eliza Olczyk of "Wprost" writes in turn that in unofficial talks the nationalists spin their noses a small at the presence of Kaczyński on the march. "They know that in Poland the message will go, that here is the full right - PiS, Confederacy and Confederation of the Polish Crown Grzegorz Braun - will march alongside each another in this patriotic event. And the electorate will see it as the forerunner of future common governments."
And as you know, it's a long way to go.
