W The situation behind us is as follows: Kamil Żbikowski won the early elections for the city president. He is an independent candidate, but his triumph has aroused the enthusiasm of many right-wing politicians. Why? due to the fact that Żbikowski almost beat Eva Weber.
Also supposedly independent, but unofficially supported by the civilian Coalition. Weber was formerly the city commissioner, and so an authoritative appointed by Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
In addition, elections in Zabrze took place, due to the fact that earlier (in May of that year) residents canceled the Agnieszka Rupniewska referendum. She in turn took the position of president Zabrz in 2024, after winning the election, moving from the letter of the civilian Coalition. It itself is not formally part of any political party. specified a double defeat of those associated with the civilian Coalition is simply a origin of joy to a large part of the right.
The election in Zabrze. What do they enjoy on the right?
As a "very strong political signal in Poland", the Zabrzeń elections were described by PiS MP Jerzy Polaczek. "Prime Minister Tusk on leave and Zabrze reflected. Residents wake up and say halt this power. Another KO bastions compromised. Gliwice? Łódź?", writes erstwhile advisor to president Andrzej Duda, Łukasz Rzepecki, on X.
"They can exposure their candidates to the effect, but lies no 1 will buy. Ewa Weber – the protégé of Boris Budka – loses the election for the president's seat" – Jacek Sasin of the Law and Justice Party, who says.
Law and Justice politicians cleverly ignore any crucial facts. First: In the 2nd circular of the Zabrze presidential election, it was vain to search a candidate with organization ID. Kamil Żbikowski is independent, Weber had no formal support either.
It would be even harder to find a candidate with a PiS card there. Boris Borówka supported by this organization in I circular gathered just over 15 percent of the vote and did not enter the second. Interestingly, Żbikowski minimally overtakes him and had just over 16 percent. Eva Weber collected nearly 40%, but the second circular lost.
The 3rd issue is the elections of the inhabitants of Zabrz. The fact is that the cancellation of Agnieszka Rupniewska amazed the Civic Coalition, which did not mobilise its supporters properly. But most people in the city don't vote for the Law and Law. The last presidential election was definitely won here by Rafał Trzaskowski (previously also). Residents besides resent the Law and Justice for political games held on their local government field.
