Polish president Andrzej Duda, in the presence of President-elect Karol Nawrocki, presented advanced state awards on Thursday, 26 June, and among them our fellow journalists were honored.
The Officer's Cross of the Order of Polonia Revival was awarded to conservative journalists Piotr Semka, who were awarded the Laure SDP a fewer years ago, for “for outstanding achievements in the country's professional and social activity, for merit for free Poland”, as well as Piotr Gursztyn “for outstanding merits in public and journalistic work”.
During the same ceremony, president Duda besides awarded, among others, Jacek Saryusz-Wolski's Cross of the large Order of Polonia Restituta "in designation of outstanding merits in the state and public activities, in peculiar for the integration and strengthening of Poland's position in the European Union" and Jan Malicki's Cross of the large Order of Polonia Restituta "in designation of outstanding merits in developing cooperation between the peoples of Central and east Europe for building democracy, for achievements in technological and social activities".
The Commander's Cross with the Star of the Order of Polonia was awarded the president of NSZZ Solidarity Piotr Duda "for outstanding merits in the activity for the defence of dignity, rights and labour interests within the nationwide Independent Local Professional Union <
The state award was besides awarded to Jarosław Guzy, the first president of the Independent Student Association. The tumors were honored with the Commander's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta.
"For outstanding achievements in pastoral work, for merit in charity" On the Knight's Cross of the Order of the Polish Revival, the president decorated Father Jack Stryczka.
