Piotr Nowina-Konopka has died. A well-known opposition activist during the Polish People's Republic, and later a spokesperson for president Lech Wałęsa and the Polish ambassador to the Holy See, Piotr Nowina-Konopka died at the age of 76. Piotr Nowina-Konopka passed distant on the night of June 12-13. The information about his death was announced on social media by Dominican Fr. Tomasz Dostatni, who serves as the chaplain of intelligentsia. "Piotr Nowina-Konopka has died tonight. Eternal remainder grant him, O Lord," the priest wrote on Facebook. More information soon.
